My name is Michelle Braden
Hello
Crafting, creating and repurposing has been a part of my life as long as I can remember. I live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. After serving the community for over 30 years as a Registered Occupational Therapist, I had to step down from my job due to a physical disability. While I miss it, I love bringing smiles to peoples faces through my art.
My mom and grandmothers taught me sewing, crochet, knitting and quilting, My grandfather taught me upholstery and woodworking. Nothing went to waste. In my 30's I found myself divorced with little spending money. So the challenge began to create something out of whatever I already had in the house/garage. My first creations were the Metal “Blind Flowers”.

Metal "Blind Flowers"
Metal ”Blind flowers” are made from folding and cutting metal blinds, using a bolt for the stem and old house paint to add color
Shrinking Plastic
Remember shrinky dinks from your childhood?. Same thing on a larger scale. The challenge is completing the piece without destroying it in the shrinking process.

Swirl Designs
Swirl Designs I call it spiro painting. It is messy and you have little control.

Quilled Trees
Each tree is unique, names & hides a heart in its branches. They are made from paper, paint, and wood.

Shrinking Plastic
This is one of my most treasured art pieces. It appears so simple but the flower colors pop out of the white background. Even the stems add just the right amount of contrast! I love it!

Tile Art
I love this amazing tile art. I look at it several times a week and cannot believe the artists artistic ability God blessed her with and the detail in the flowers and handwriting of this verse. It always gives me such joy whenever I see it.
